This spring is looking to be an exciting time for everyone at Racecourse Marina & Lodges as four brand-new luxury lodges are heading their way.
Racecourse Marina was a rather neglected and sorrowful place when purchased by Tingdene, housing a small number of boats and a run-down caravan park. But with a vision for greater things, the marina building was overhauled and further investment followed in 2018 as work began on the development of a luxury lodge park.
The marina is now a Five Gold Anchor Marina, the top accreditation from The Yacht Harbour Association. Tingdene invested over £1,000,000 in brand new pontoons and shore side facilities and with that came new tenants of the restaurant. Today, Gogo’s Bar and Restaurant complete with its rooftop terrace and African flair and flavours on the menu is a popular haunt for boaters, lodge owners and locals.
The marina is perfectly placed for berth-holders and visitors to cruise one of the most beautiful stretches of the Thames. Nearby Cookham, Cliveden, Marlow and Henley-on-Thames are only a day trip away by boat. Plus, it’s just a short stroll into the iconic town of Windsor, home to the Queen’s favourite royal home, Windsor Castle as well as Windsor Great Park, Legoland plus lots of lovely boutique shops and restaurants. There’s also plenty more to explore around Berkshire, including famous Michelin star restaurants run by the Roux brothers and Heston Blumenthal.
Now a unique development of 34 waterside properties sits alongside the marina. At the time of writing, 5 lodges have been sold, with 4 show lodges arriving from Spring 2022 and 4 further plots reserved, meaning it’s going to be a very busy year.
With new lodges arriving on site over the coming weeks, we wanted to give you a sneak preview of what to expect from these stunning lodges in what is one of the very best locations to be in.
The Ascot Lodge
The Ascot Lodge’s thoughtfully design interior is illuminated by a wall of glass, letting the scenic surroundings into the bright and airy lodge.
