This week is Loneliness Awareness Week, a global campaign all about starting positive conversations and helping people feel more connected.

At Tingdene Group, community is at the heart of everything we do, whether that’s within our teams, on our sites, or in our day-to-day interactions with those we come in contact with. This week is a great reminder that connection does not have to be big or complicated, it is often the small moments that matter most.

Loneliness is something that everyone can experience at times, it is a completely natural human feeling.

But the good news is that both little and simple actions can make a real difference.

Over the next week, why not:

  • Check in with a colleague you haven’t spoken to in a while

  • Take a proper break and share a coffee or a walk with someone

  • Start a conversation, whether in the office, on site, or virtually

  • Say a quick “hello” or “thank you” – it really does count

Building our Tingdene Group community

We are proud of the friendly and supportive culture we have across our business, and this week is a chance to celebrate that and keep it growing.

Connection looks different for everyone, so it is about finding what feels right and making space for those everyday moments that bring us together.

Let’s use this week as a reminder to reach out, be open, and keep building a workplace where everyone feels included and supported.

‘1KM Walk the Park’ Against Loneliness

Members of our Residential Parks team, including Park Managers (Helen and Colin) completed a second 1km walk at Ashwood Residential Park in Cheshire in an attempt to tackle loneliness amongst the elderly. A strong turnout of over 30 people which was followed by ice creams and laughter outside the park office. Together, we are making an impact.
