Over the past few months, we have taken some exciting steps to strengthen the way we welcome, support, and connect our people across the business.
At the centre of this work is a simple but important aim: to create a more consistent experience for everyone, no matter which business unit, site, or team they are part of.
So, what have we done?
Creating a Consistent Onboarding Experience
We have been working closely with teams across the business to introduce a new onboarding process for new team members.
The aim is to make sure that every new starter receives the same warm, informative, and structured welcome, regardless of where they are joining us. This helps new colleagues feel supported from day one, while also giving them a clearer understanding of who we are, how we work and what they can expect as part of Tingdene Group.
A consistent onboarding experience is an important step in helping people feel settled, confident, and connected from the beginning. It also supports our managers and teams by creating a clear, more joined-up approach across each business unit.
The new onboarding process has already been introduced successfully, and we are pleased with the positive progress made so far.
Introducing Our Welcome Booklet
To support the new onboarding process, we have also created a new welcome booklet for new starters.
The booklet brings together key information about Tingdene Group, our values, our culture and what it means to be part of the team. It has been designed to give new colleagues a helpful overview as they begin their journey with us, while also providing useful information they can refer back to as they settle into their role.
Although the welcome booklet has been created with new starters in mind, we also want it to be available to everyone across the business. Whether you are new to the company or have been with us for some time, it offers a clear and useful overview of who we are, important guidance for new team members, entitlements and rewards.

Welcoming Our People with New Company Merchandise
As part of this wider focus on connection and belonging, we have also issued company merchandise to colleagues across the business.
Each colleague has received a company water bottle, notebook, and pen. These items are a small but meaningful way to create a shared experience across the business and give everyone something practical they can use day to day.
For new starters, these items will now form part of their welcome experience, helping to ensure that everyone joining the business receives the same introduction and sense of belonging from the start. The merchandise will be sent to site prior to your new team member starting.
Spotlighting Our Core Values
At the end of last year, we began by shining a spotlight on our five core values.
This gave us an opportunity to explore what each value means to us as a business and how they can help guide the way we work together.
While we have shared a spotlight on each of the core values, we also recognise that everyone may connect with them slightly differently. Each person, team and business unit may have their own interpretation of what these values look like in action, depending on their role, responsibilities and day-to-day experiences.
That is what makes them meaningful. Our values are not just statements to be read, they are there to be lived, understood and reflected in the everyday moments that shape how we work.
To help keep these values visible and front of mind, we have now introduced core values canvases across our sites. Displayed proudly within our office spaces, they act as a clear reminder of what we stand for and the behaviours we want to continue encouraging across our business.
Thanks to everyone who has sent in photos, it is great to see the individual site flair for how these have been arranged. Please see below images from offices at Holy Loch Marina, Upton Lake & Marina, Broadlands Holiday Village, Walton Marina, Stourport Marina, Redcar Beach Caravan Park, Pyrford Marina, North Denes Caravan Park, Caldecott Hall Country Park, Brundall Bay Marina, Thames & Kennet Marina, Farndon Marina and our Wellingborough Head Offices.
Moving Forward Together
These updates are all part of our ongoing commitment to building a more connected, consistent, and people-focused workplace.
By bringing our values to life, improving the onboarding experience, and creating useful resources for our teams, we are continuing to take positive steps forward as a business.
Thank you to everyone who has supported this work so far. We look forward to continuing to build on this together.
