As we continue our spotlight series on Tingdene Group’s Core Values, this month we are focusing on our fourth value: Collaboration.

What does ‘Collaboration’ mean to us?

At Tingdene Group, collaboration is about working together to achieve common goals across our residential parks, holiday parks and marinas.

Our business is wide spread across the UK and Scotland which means more than ever, our teams have to find new ways to collaborate and stay connected.

The very nature of collaboration is bringing people together. Our teams have differing backgrounds, experience, expertise and ideas. It is a Tingdene Group view point that when you have different people sat around the table discussing progress and change, this is what leverages our position in the market and keeps us ahead.

At Tingdene Group, your longevity within the business plays no part to the strength and weight of your idea and input. We encourage a new starter to share their ideas or challenge the status quo just as much as any colleague within the business.

We recognise that no one works in isolation and that by working together and ensuring our teams receive consistent and clear messaging, we can deliver more for our residents, customers, and each other.

How we see ‘Collaboration’ in action

Collaboration is part of how we operate every day, both at site level and across the wider business.

Across our residential parks, holiday parks and marinas, teams regularly share ideas and ways of working to improve standards and customer experience. This has been particularly evident in the way onsite teams and neighbouring marinas have worked together to achieve recognised accreditations such as Gold Anchor and Clean Marina status by sharing knowledge, supporting each other, and raising standards across multiple locations.

We also bring collaboration to life through initiatives like our Manager Days, where managers come together to share best practice, discuss challenges, align on priorities and undertake training initiatives. These sessions ensure we continue to learn from each other and move forward with a uniform and one team mentality.

Listening and acting on ideas from across the business is another important part of collaboration. A recent example is the introduction of free menstrual products, which came from colleague feedback and was implemented through a collective effort to support wellbeing across our teams.

Collaboration also plays a key role in group-wide initiatives. Our upcoming Tour de Tingdene event is a great example of this, bringing together colleagues from different parts of the business to plan and deliver something that reflects Tingdene as a whole. It’s a shared effort that relies on input, coordination, and teamwork across multiple business units.

Why does it matter?

Collaboration helps us operate as one business rather than a collection of individual sites. It strengthens how we work, improves decision-making, and ensures we deliver a consistent experience across Tingdene Group.

It also creates a more supportive working environment, where people feel comfortable sharing ideas, asking for help, and contributing beyond their immediate role.

As Tingdene Group continues to grow, collaboration will remain an important part of how we move forward. By continuing to share knowledge, support one another, and work together across all areas of the business, we can ensure we remain connected, consistent, and aligned in everything we do.
