We’re delighted to share that Holy Loch Marina in Sandbank, near Dunoon, has officially joined the Tingdene Marinas portfolio – marking our first venture into Scottish waters. This marina acquisition is our second in just two months, bringing our total network to 12 across the UK.
Holy Loch Marina is a much-loved boating destination on the Firth of Clyde, offering up to 250 fully serviced berths, visitor berths, a well-equipped boatyard with hoist and slipway, on-site fuel, and a range of shoreside services. Its location provides direct access to some of the finest cruising grounds in the UK, surrounded by stunning west coast scenery.
The marina has been owned and operated by the Downs family for more than 25 years. Originally developed by the late Matthew Downs, it has grown into a thriving hub for both local and visiting boaters. His children, Alison and Stuart, have played a key role in running the marina in recent years and will continue in their roles under Tingdene’s ownership, ensuring a smooth transition for berth holders and the community.
This expansion into Scotland is a significant milestone for us. It strengthens our presence in the UK boating market and opens up exciting opportunities for development in a completely new region. We are committed to building on the marina’s strong foundations, enhancing the facilities, and preserving its warm, community atmosphere.
Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Alison, Stuart and the entire Holy Loch Marina team as they become part of the Tingdene family.
