Now that you have grabbed yourself something nice to drink and we sit together at the halfway stage of 2022, we wanted to provide to you with a snapshot of some of the changes and developments across the Tingdene Group.
Tingdene Parks – Our Residential Team
With Roy & Lillian Foulkes leaving the Tingdene family after many years, we thought it would be great to start with Ashwood Park.
Ashwood Park was purchased in 2014 with planning permission for 70 Homes. From a field in 2014 to a fully developed park in 2022, we can confidently say that this has been a successful development for the Tingdene Parks team.
Lillian joined the Tingdene Group in August of 2015 as a Sales Executive to assist the development with on-site sales and phase one known as Juniper Close.
With Lillian’s local knowledge and welcoming nature, the deposits, and reservations soon built-up allowing Ashwood Park to quickly develop with phase one selling out and new phases released earlier than expected. Through open days with snow flurries and in the depth of Cheshire winters, Lillian has worked tirelessly to help new residents settle in and looked after existing residents on the more established side of the park.
Roy joined the Tingdene Group in April 2016 as Park Manager creating an amazing husband and wife team overseeing the park and new developments. Having sold now 71 out of the 72 homes on the new development, on 10th June we handed over our penultimate home.
We will be sad to see Roy and Lillian leave at the end of the month and we wish them both well for the future.
Tingdene Holiday Parks – Our Holiday Team
Waveney River Centre
Kizzy Saunders kicked off the lodge sales in style at our newest Tingdene Group site, Waveney River Centre. Kizzy had the first lodge deal sign up completed on 27th May 2022 and the second achieved shortly after on 3rd June 2022. Well done Kizzy and keep it up!
Broadlands Park & Marina
Broadlands Park & Marina in Lowestoft has recently taken delivery of another three Carlton lodges, ready for some lucky new owners! We have also recently received confirmation that the seasonal usage for The Carlton lodge development has been extended to 12-month year-round usage – a fantastic new feature of a stunning development.
Caldecott Hall Country Park
Another Husband and Wife team Daniel and Emma Sheales have taken over the commercial lease of the clubhouse at Caldecott Hall. Rebranded as ‘Barn 1’, Daniel and Emma have already gotten off to a great start, extending the opening hours and offering food from 10am in the morning, as well as hosting quiz nights, seasonal events and providing live entertainment each weekend.
South Shore Park
Purchased in September 2019, the team saw a fantastic opportunity when acquiring the park. Where derelict buildings once stood, a fantastic new development of 28 lodges under phase one has been completed, with scope for further future development.
Alan Penn (General Manager), Dawn Penn (Office Manager), and Lynn Marshall (Receptionist & Administrator), with the help of the Area office located in Mablethorpe, have also successfully achieved the conversion of 240 existing properties from Licence to Lease with only 18 left to complete! The team plan to achieve the remaining 18 within the next month. A huge well done to the team at South Shore Park!
Tingdene Marinas & Boat Sales
Tingdene Boat Sales has had an incredible start to 2022. As a team we have sold over 30 new boats and completed on over 100 brokerage deals.
Our dedicated team, work with 6 different boat builders including Cranchi, Viking Cruisers, Viking Canal Boats, Maxima, Ranieri & our newest partnership Banks Martin.
The team have been incredibly busy with sales including our largest Cranchi sale with the newly realised Cranchi Sessantasette 67, selling for over €2.8 million, to a client we met at Southampton Boat Show.
Walton Marina
The Walton office has continued their success with the range of Maxima Boats hitting 40 boats sold within the first 2 years and have become the most successful Maxima dealer in the UK.
There has been an introduction of the first River Thames Boat Club which offers customers an introduction into boat ownership without the financial commitment of fully owning a boat. Members pay a monthly fee to have access to multiple boats that can be simply booked through a dedicated app.
Thames & Kennet
Thames & Kennet have been working closely with Viking Canal Boats with 7 client boats currently in build and having sold 3 different models of the Viking Cruiser including the customers heading to the French canals on their new Viking 24.
…and lastly but not least:
Our Waterfront Living Team
The focus for this year has been centred on the successful completion and implementation of the first 10 floating homes within Phase 1 at Upton Lake, Upton-upon-Severn.
A mixture of legal, development, sales and operational planning has meant that the team have been exceptionally busy preparing for our first sold and occupied home due to arrive and be lifted into the Lake on 15 July 2022. As everyone knows with developments, something will always go wrong! The team have had to deal with their fair share of setbacks including fish, birds, flooding, and general disruption to a busy Upton Marina.
The team continue to push through, and it is estimated that the development will be fully complete and ready for occupation from 1 August 2022.
Whilst the development continues and a new stock home is pending arrival on Upton Lake, we have made the decision to turn our show home, situated in Upton Marina, into a temporary Airbnb available for stays from Thursdays to Sundays. This has been a successful launch and we have 8 weekends booked up already!
